01 Microsoft's licence terms apply

DiskSpace is licensed under the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms shown on the Microsoft Store listing.

Those terms cover the licence, warranties, liability and applicable law, including your local consumer protections.

The sections below are additions. If anything here conflicts with Microsoft's terms or local consumer law, those win.

02 DiskSpace never deletes anything

The app measures folder sizes and shows you what changed. It does not delete, move, rename or modify any file on your drives.

If you delete something after reading a DiskSpace report, that is your decision and your responsibility. Some folders that look like waste are load-bearing for Windows or for an application. If you are not sure, do not delete it.

03 It is not a backup

DiskSpace stores statistics about your folders — names, sizes and counts — not your files. It cannot restore or recover deleted data, and its database is not a backup of anything.

Keep a real backup.

04 The numbers are estimates

Measurements are point-in-time estimates. They may differ from File Explorer because inaccessible folders are skipped, compressed or sparse files use less space on disk, cloud-only files may occupy almost none locally, and hard-linked files can appear in more than one folder.

Treat the numbers as a reliable guide, not an audited total.

05 Buying Premium

Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Our payment provider handles checkout, tax, receipts and final local pricing.

Refunds use the purchase receipt flow. If Premium does not unlock, email us first; it is usually a licence refresh we can fix quickly.

A Premium licence is restored with the purchase email and covers one PC at a time. The Microsoft Store is only the app distribution channel.

06 Privacy, changes and contact

Our Privacy Policy explains what the app handles. In short: everything stays on your PC.

If we update these terms we will change the date above. If we ever stop selling DiskSpace we will say so on the Store listing in good time; copies already installed keep working.
