If Premium doesn't work, you get your money back
Within 14 days of purchase, if a Premium feature does not work on your PC and you can show us, we will support your refund request.
14 days
The window runs from the date of your purchase, shown in your Microsoft account order history.
Premium not working
The reason for the refund must be that a Premium feature fails on your PC — not a change of mind.
Show us the problem
A short screen recording, or clear screenshots, of the Premium feature failing. That is how we confirm it.
Refund Policy
DiskSpace is published by MMV Inc. and sold through the Microsoft Store or by card via polar.sh. Questions: support@vuvuive.org
01 Try before you buy
Every install of DiskSpace is free to use indefinitely, with 3 days of history. Premium extends the history window to 60 days and unlocks every drive, the whole folder tree, and the rest of the paid features.
This means you can confirm the app installs, scans and reports correctly on your own PC before paying anything. We strongly recommend doing that. Almost every refund request could have been avoided by a few days on the free version.
02 When we support a refund
We will support your refund request when both of the following are true:
- You bought Premium within the last 14 days, and
- A Premium feature does not work on your PC — and we can confirm it from what you send us.
The 14 days run from the purchase date recorded in your Microsoft account order history.
03 What we need to see
Because we cannot inspect your PC, the problem has to be demonstrated. Please send a short screen recording — 30 seconds is usually plenty — or, if that is not possible, a clear sequence of screenshots that shows:
- The app showing you are on Premium (Settings → Premium)
- You using the Premium feature that is failing
- What actually happens instead of what should happen
Please also include your Windows version and the DiskSpace version, both shown in Settings → Diagnostics.
Without this we cannot confirm the fault, and we cannot support the request.
04 We will try to fix it first
When you send the recording, our first answer will usually be a fix, not a refund — most reports turn out to be a licence that needs refreshing, which takes a minute.
If we can make the feature work for you, that resolves the problem and no refund is needed. If we cannot, we will confirm that in writing and support your refund request.
05 How the refund is actually processed
Premium is never sold by us directly, so we never see your payment details and we cannot issue a refund ourselves. Who processes it depends on where you bought:
Bought in the Microsoft Store. Microsoft takes the payment and Microsoft issues the refund. You request it from your Microsoft account → Order history → Request a refund. Our written confirmation that the feature is faulty supports that request; Microsoft's own refund policy governs the final decision and the timing. Requesting it is free, and you may do it whether or not you contact us first.
Bought by card on polar.sh. Polar is the merchant of record and issues the refund. Reply to your Polar receipt, or email us and we will raise it with them. The 14 days run from the purchase date on that receipt.
06 After a refund
When the purchase is refunded, your Premium licence is withdrawn automatically — by Microsoft for Store purchases, or by us when Polar reports the refund. DiskSpace returns to the free version at the next licence check, usually within a day, and your visible history goes back to 3 days.
Nothing on your drives is affected, and the app keeps working — it simply stops showing the longer window.
07 What this policy does not cover
We will not support a refund request where:
- More than 14 days have passed since the purchase
- Premium works, but you changed your mind or no longer need it
- The feature works as described and you expected something different — please read How it works before buying
- Your history does not go back as far as you hoped because DiskSpace had not been installed that long. The app can only report on time it was there to observe; this is explained on the site and in the app
- No recording or screenshots are provided, or what is provided does not show the fault
- There is evidence of abuse — for example repeated buy-and-refund activity
08 Your legal rights
This policy describes when we will support a refund request. It does not replace or reduce any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in, or under Microsoft's own Store refund policy — both continue to apply in full, and where they give you more than this page does, they win.
09 Contact
Email support@vuvuive.org with “refund” in the subject, from any address — we do not need it to match your Microsoft account.
Please attach the recording or screenshots from section 3. We aim to reply within a few working days.
